O FIM DA FILA publicado em coreano e alemão!!!

THE END OF THE LINE now published in Korean and German!!!

Esse ano tive a grande satisfação de ver O FIM DA FILA publicado em dois países: Suíça e Coreia do Sul. Ambas as versões foram muito bem produzidas, cada qual acrescentando novos detalhes em relação à edição original.

Isso me deixou muito feliz considerando a dificuldade do autor brasileiro em publicar seus títulos no exterior, sobretudo no segmento infantojuvenil.

É incrível saber que crianças e adultos de outros países vão ter acesso ao meu trabalho!

I had this year a great satisfaction seeing THE END OF THE LINE published in two foreign countries: Switzerland and South Korea. Both versions were carefully produced, each one bringing new details in relation to the original Brazilian edition.

This fact made me very happy considering the difficulties for Brazilian authors in publishing out of our country, mainly in children's book field.

It's incredible to know that foreign children and adults will have my book in their hands!

Edição coreana: versão interativa

A bela e divertida edição sul-coreana do livro "O fim da fila" chegou às minhas mãos na Bienal de Bratislava, entregue diretamente por Fred Minn que, além de Diretor do Concurso de Livros Ilustrados da Ilha de Nami, coordena a editora Nami Books. 

Produzida em capa dura, a versão coreana acrescenta detalhes interativos como a lingueta que, ao ser puxada, revela a pintura da tartaruga.

Korean edition: interactive version

The amazing Korean edition of "The end of the line" was given to me by Fred Minn at the Biennial of Bratislava. He is the Nami Island Picture Book Concours' Director and also the Nami Books publishing house's Coordinator.

Produced in a hard cover, the Korean version brings interactive details as the flap which shows the turtle's painting. A cared-for work! Congratulations to Fred and his great Nami's team!

EINE GESCHICHTE OHNE ENDE: a edição em alemão de "O fim da fila"

A versão em alemão do livro foi publicada com muito capricho pela editora suíça Baobab Books, especializada em títulos que abordam a diversidade cultural. Além do território suíço, o livro está sendo comercializado na Alemanha e na Áustria.

O grande diferencial dessa edição foi a produção de uma passagem de verdade através da 4ª capa. Show! Meus cumprimentos à editora Sonja Matheson e à equipe da Baobab!

EINE GESCHICHTE OHNE ENDE: the German edition of "The end of the line"

The German version was carefully produced by Baobab Books, a Swiss publishing house specialized in cultural diversity titles. The book is being sold in Switzerland and also in Germany and Austria. 

Its main new feature is the real hole passage through the back cover. Really great! Congratulations to the publisher Sonja Matheson and Baobab's team!

É inegável que a premiação do livro no II Concurso da Ilha de Nami, na Coreia do Sul – anunciada em janeiro de 2015 e já fartamente divulgada no Facebook e em postagens anteriores desse blog – contribuiu muito para o interesse dos editores estrangeiros na publicação da obra em seus países. 

Agradeço novamente pelo reconhecimento que O FIM DA FILA teve na Coreia e pelas oportunidades que se abriram para o meu trabalho a partir daí.

The annoucement of the II Nami Concours Award, South Korea, in last January, was extremely important for the foreign publishing houses interest.

I am really grateful for the recognition of THE END OF THE LINE in Korea, which allowed several opportunitties to my career, specially to this picture book.
